h402 Association

Help us shape the future of the agent–human economy

h402 is an open standard. The people who shape it are not employees or investors — they are builders, companies, and thinkers who believe that human and machine intelligence belong on the same rails.

Join the Association

The h402 Association is a Swiss non-profit organization incorporated under the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB), founded in 2026 in the Canton of Aargau. It is the governing body for the h402 open protocol — a neutral, permissionless standard enabling AI agents to discover, hire, and pay verified human workers. The Association is not a company, not a DAO, and not a foundation with a token to sell. A small technical committee writes the open standard; members govern it equally.

We are opening membership to organisations and individuals who want to be part of what gets built next.

Advisory Board

For founders, operators, and domain experts whose perspective we want in the room.

Advisory Board members are not members of the Association. They have no governance obligations and no liability. They lend their perspective when asked and are listed publicly as part of h402's founding intellectual circle. This is not a vanity listing. We will reach out. We will ask questions. We expect you to be reachable.

Academic / Non-profit

Academic / Non-profit Member

For universities, research institutions, and registered non-profits working at the intersection of AI, payments, or open standards.

  • Listed as a Member on h402.dev
  • Access to working groups and protocol improvement proposals
  • Invitation to the annual members meeting
  • A voice on protocol direction

Joining the h402 Association is not an investment. There is no equity, no token allocation, no financial return. Membership fees support protocol development — documentation, working groups, tooling, developer events. If you are looking for equity exposure to h402, that conversation happens elsewhere.

Common questions

What is the h402 Association exactly?
The h402 Association is a Swiss non-profit organization incorporated under the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB), founded in 2026 in the Canton of Aargau. It is the legal entity responsible for stewarding the h402 open protocol. The Association is governed equally by its members through a technical committee — not by a board of investors or a founding company.
Is this an investment or token sale?
No. Membership in the h402 Association does not confer equity, tokens, profit-sharing rights, or any financial instrument. Membership fees fund protocol development and governance operations. This is a standards body, not a fundraising vehicle.
What does membership actually give me?
Participation rights in the governance of the h402 open protocol, early access to protocol improvement proposals, access to working groups, recognition on h402.dev, and an invitation to the annual members meeting. Exact rights vary by tier — see the cards above.
